■Position changes and signs - December 5, 2023

In the morning in Tokyo, the dollar was strong and the Aussie was weak. As European time approaches, the yen is stronger than the dollar. From NY to London fixes, the yen is weaker and the dollar is stronger. At the close in New York, the yen weakened against the dollar.

The daily balance changed to 147.10 dollar/yen buy, and we moved to an overnight position.

As European time approaches, interest rates on US Treasuries are likely to fall. ECB Director Schnabel's statement that ``further interest rate hikes are unlikely'' led to dollar buying ahead of the euro.
