The dollar weakened slightly in the morning in Tokyo. As European time approaches, the yen weakens and the dollar weakens. From NY to London fixes, the dollar is strong and the yen is strong. At the close in New York, the yen appreciated against the dollar across the board.
The daily balance changed to Aussie buy 0.6621, dollar yen sell 147.48, and British pound buy 1.2671, moving to overnight position.
After Chairman Powell's speech, interest rates on U.S. bonds fell rapidly and the dollar depreciated across the board.
