A reversal-sign tool uses a different logic

In the previous interview, there were many experiences where many signal tools would reverse right after entry, but in this work there are fewer such experiences. Could you tell us the reason for that?

I too used to utilize sign tools in the early days. Of course not in everything, but many patterns show signals in the trend direction when a trend forms. However, in range-bound markets, trends do not form, so entering in the trend direction often reverses, and I myself had a sense that sign tools were not my strong suit.


O-san

This work does not aim to catch a trend formation; it uses a logic that targets zigzag points where it goes up and then down, and down and then up. In other words,“a point where a reversal is likely here”is what this logic seeks. It is a completely different way of thinking from typical trend-following entries that reverse after a trend forms.

Yes, especially with USD/JPY, there are often up-and-down movements of around 10 pips. It's nice to be able to grab 50 pips at once with gold, but this method leverages the scalping edge to quickly capture small 5–10 pip moves as signals.

The high win rate and steady accumulation of profits is the image here, right?

That's right. You can't grab big gains at once, but the concept is to target movements around 5–10 pips at precise points. It's not very difficult, so I hope busy part-time traders will give it a try.
