Alchemist Duo, the original rhythm has returned — the official forward after the resolution and the two months of the verification account
Serial: Yoko and Kenji's GOLD EA Mastery Notebook Part 12
Hello, this is Yoko.
It's been a while since the Alchemy Duo story. In the previous update, I told you that we finally resolved the positions that had been held for 13 days. What happened after that. Today, I will report the continuation.
First, the results
・The official forward, after the unwind, all days with trades were positiveat the end
・The total after unwind was,+41,603 yen(0.01 lot)
・In Kenji's test account, there were no 13-day holds, and September to early October went well
Official Forward: The Week After Unwind
After unwinding the basket (28 positions) held for 13 days on October 9, the official forward returned to itsusual movement. Averaging in, stepping back, and taking small profits. That is the pattern repeated.
| Date | Profit/Loss (0.01 lot) |
| October 9 (after unwind) | +1,416 yen |
| October 12 | +5,450 yen |
| October 13 | +5,009 yen |
| October 14 | +9,067 yen |
| October 15 | +4,922 yen |
| October 16 | +15,739 yen |
| Total | +41,603 yen |
Note: The dates shown are the calendar dates on the product page (UTC basis, so about half a day different from Japan time). October 10 and 11 were market closures, so no trades occurred. The October 9 total includes the unwind amount for the basket held for 13 days (+6,580 yen), so only the unwind portion is written here.
What was settled after unwind was152 positions, of which 116 were positive. The number of positions held simultaneously was at most 7.
On October 14, gold temporarily dropped about $50, but that day ended with +9,067 yen. And on the Friday before the weekend, October 16,+15,739 yen, the biggest day of the week. This is the Duo's usual pattern of profits in small increments. Also, over the weekend one position remains open.
Kenji's test account did not get trapped
Here is another point I want to share. Kenji is also running Duo in his own test account.
In this account, similar to the official forward, there wasno 13-day hold. From September to early October, it progressed very well.
Status of the test account(Running two lines, M5 and M15, both at 0.01 lot)
・Period: August 31 to October 16
・Profit/Loss:+377,637 yen(M5 +233,858 yen / M15 +143,779 yen)
・Of 510 settled baskets, only3 ended in a loss
・Largest unrealized loss (approx.): about 200,000 yen (before unwind on Sept 25, M5 had 26 positions)
・Longest hold:about 4 days 12 hours(Sept 28–Oct 2, M15)
With the same forward logic triggering the same rapid drop filters, during the gold drop of Sept 28–29, we also avoided averaging down for about 27 hours. The difference in results is thought to be due towhen the basket started being built.
The official forward started on the night of Friday, Sept 25,about $4,290, taking the first position and riding into the weekend, then hit the drop. The test account closed baskets and took profits several times by Friday, and the baskets caught during the drop began on Monday, Sept 28, atabout $4,259. Since the starting point was about $30 lower, the average entry price fell faster, allowing unwind to occur on Sept 30.
Even with the same Duo,where you start building fromgreatly changes the waiting time.
For fairness, a note
The test account is our own demo account and is not the official forward. In the test account, there was also unrealized loss of up to about 200,000 yen and a hold of up to about 4 days and half. It is also true that the official forwardheld for 13 days. Both are results over short periods, and there is no guarantee that the same thing will continue.
What can be inferred from these two
Lining up the official forward and the test account, there are two key takeaways.
①Duo does not always settle quickly.Depending on when you start building, you may wait a long time, like 13 days.
②If you can wait beyond that waiting period, it returns to its usual pattern. The official forward was positive on every trading day after unwind.
Whether you can endure the waiting time with sufficient funds and mindset is the dividing line for whether Duo suits you.
In the free trial, you can confirm this kind of behavior, including the waiting time, in your own account. Please try it before purchasing.
