[Important prerequisite ①] The premise of "12 years without default" and risks depending on the start time
Hello, this is Yoko.
In the serialization “Yoko and Kenji’s GOLD EA Mastery Notes,” we have been conveying the features and usage of RisingTide. This serialization is a separate frame for that.
Today, the prerequisite conditions you should definitely know if you are considering a purchasewill be discussed. We will present the numbers measured in real time together with developer Kenji.
1. What was missing in previous guidance
Until now, the product page has guided you with a backtest based on an initial margin of 1 million yen, saying “12 years without insolvency.” We also公開した backtest results and showed that funds could endure large adverse movements as capital grew.
However, this disclosure method wasinsufficient.
On September 28, 2026, the official forward account (about 1.26 million yen) stopped out in a gold crash where price fell about $160–$170 within about two days. Further verification revealed the following.
If starting from zero just before the same decline, the required funds are completely different.
When a customer starts trading is different for everyone. The funds prepared, the account managed, and the leverage used all vary. If a large drawdown occurs soon after starting, the required margin becomes substantial. We had not conveyed this sufficiently. We apologize for that.
2. Measured result: what happened if we started on September 1
From September 1, 2026, with the standard settings (lot multiplier 1.07, leverage 1:◎000, 0.01 lots) the results as of September 28 are shown.
| Starting margin | Result | Minimum maintenance margin |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000,000 | 9/28 Stop out | — |
| 1,500,000 | Survived | 456% |
| 2,000,000 | Survived | 965% |
| 2,600,000 | Survived | 1,576% |
| 3,000,000 | Survived | 1,983% |
The profits and losses of the four surviving conditions were all the same amount (+234,006 yen).
From these results, the estimated required funds for the product page wereat least 2,600,000 yen, with a lower bound of about 1,300,000 yenThe official forward of 1,260,000 yen was slightly below this lower bound.
However, this is a figure for the “September 28, 2026” decline. There is no guarantee that no greater declines will occur in the future.Backtests enduring the test do not guarantee future safety.
3. Why the lot multiplier was lowered from 1.10 to 1.07
Kenji lowered the standard lot multiplier from1.07 from 1.10. This is a comparison under the same conditions (1.26 million yen, started on September 1).
| Multiplier | Result |
|---|---|
| 1.05 | Survived (maintenance rate 821% + ¥191,736) |
| 1.07 (new default) | Survived (maintenance rate 212% + ¥234,006) |
| 1.10 (old default) | 9/28 Stop out |
Lowering the multiplier reduces the worst-case loss. However, profits also decrease a little.
4. Please read articles closer to your trading environment
Required funds vary greatly depending onleverage, account type, and operating modeSince what customers want to know differs, the articles have been split.
- For those considering 운영 a high-leverage account(Episode 2)
- For those considering a 20x leverage account(Episode 3)
- Operating modes (stable, proactive, aggressive) and SET files(Episode 4)
- For those considering micro accounts(Episode 5)
5. We cannot promise that you will not go insolvent
Kenji says this:
RisingTide is a martingale-type (averaging down) EA. In a one-way decline, unrealized losses expand rapidly. Please use with settings within your own available funds and without overextending. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
From now on, we will continue to share both good and bad things with measured numbers.
