[Episode 7] The more someone struggles to win, the more rules they add.
When you start losing with FX, many people take the same actions.
Review the rules.
Add conditions.
Add more filters.
At first glance, it seems very rational.
Since there is a reason for the loss, you just need to add a condition to prevent it.
When I first started building logic, I thought so too.
However, I have learned something after continually testing only USD/JPY for 22 years.
Those who cannot win add more rules.
And the logic that continues to win becomes simpler in the end.
erase the reasons for losing one by one.
For example, suppose you lose under a certain condition.
Then,
“If RSI is 70 or above, skip it.”
Add such a rule.
Next,
the moving average was flat.
“Then skip it if it’s flat.”
Furthermore,
you lost right before an economic indicator.
“Skip the 30 minutes before and after the indicator.”
Thus, the rules keep increasing.
Each moment, all of these seem like correct improvements.
However, there is a pitfall here.
