When you’re just starting FX, you tend to think, “I want to take 100 pips in one go” or “I want to win big.”

However, among traders who actually win consistently for a long time, small profits of 5–10 pips are valued highly

Because those who can steadily accumulate small profits become surprisingly wealthy

In fact, those who can consistently take a total of 20–30 pips every day are far fewer than you might think

Many people chase big profits by aiming for a home run, losing profits along the way or taking on large losses

On the other hand, the winning mindset is different



It’s not about home runs; first, you accumulate singles

In the market there are fairly easy price moves to take advantage of on a daily basis. Those small opportunities, if you reliably seize them, are more repeatable than aggressively aiming for large price swings
