Was that close? USD/JPY short somehow took profit

June 12, daytime. Dollar-yen after a long time. I tried a short position.

The basis was the scene where it clearly broke through PeaceMA's 4-hour MA and then came back again.

It hardly moved, held for more than an hour lol

For those using it, I do not recommend it when the price is sandwiched between MAs, but it is a semi-discretionary EA Peace, so

I think there will be a rebound up to the upper MA or a noticeable high, so I planned to enter up to three times.

I strongly advise against infinite averaging down. As I have said many times, you must set your stop-loss level from the start.

Although it rose quite a bit to here, after entry it hardly moved...

There were moments whether it had stopped, and since I didn’t average down or take profits, the time passed,

If this weren't a video, I would have cut my losses myself, but since it was a video, I changed the take profit from 5 to 4 pips.

I managed to take profits somehow, but the hourly wage is extremely low lol

In times like this, I’ll just be glad I took profits.

The averaging-down setting is a double-edged sword. Infinite averaging down is not good, but I decide the stop-loss line before entry and adjust the parameters accordingly to match it.

It wasn’t a highly recommended entry, but it is one example of how to use it.
