[1/28] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points and methods free release

【1/28 USD/JPY Scalp Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now let's scalp USD/JPY again tonight!
First, summarize today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 152.70. The pair started the morning around 152.20, but during Tokyo time it seems there is a slight bounce back in the dollar due to the rebound from yesterday’s overseas session declines.
However, President Trump’s remarks that he is not concerned about a weak dollar and that rates will drop significantly after the next Fed chair takes office suggest the dollar-selling trend may continue.
From the morning level, expect about a 50-pip rise as we transition to overseas time.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open around 17:00
● Movements around the New York market open around 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the US FOMC rate decision and statement at 28:00
● Movements after the Powell Fed chair press conference at 28:30

Other notes..
・Whether the dollar-selling trend continues from President Trump’s remarks
—–
Tonight’s “1-minute scalp” will target movements near market opens plus the moves after the US FOMC rate decision/statement at 28:00 and after Powell’s press conference at 28:30. For users of the “1-minute scalp club,” if you trade according to the theory, there should be no problem, but since the FOMC event is late at night, try to stay awake if possible. If you have daytime jobs, please don’t push yourself.
Also, the short-only “15-minute scalp” strategy expects the dollar-selling trend to continue due to Trump’s remarks, so it may be worth trying. Entry timing would be when you see a slight pullback and you can sell around the 153 yen level.
Now the overseas session is about to start!
Because scalping profits are small, it’s easy to think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. Targeting times with relatively high volatility can greatly reduce trading difficulty.
The timeframes I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (US summer time 16:00– / US winter time 17:00–)
・New York market open time (US summer time 22:00– / US winter time 23:00–)
Volatility increases and opportunities abound right after US indicators/events are released. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after they return to the normal spread.
Always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities come allows you to stack profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before US indicators/events announcements. If you go against them, you won’t be able to recover. A careless mistake is unacceptable.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each securities/FX broker.
Of course there are many other points beyond the three above, but I’ve covered the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
